We are happy to announce the first ever combat robot event in Leighton Buzzard: CAT 1 - Central Antweight Tournament!

Entry fee £4, cash on the day preffered.

It's 15 minutes walk from the Leighton Buzzard train station, or, you can get a bus to the venue.
Bus stop (70 and 150) is 200 meters away.
Parking is available in the multi storey car park on West street, 200 meters away.
Rules:
This is a sportsman event meaning no spinners, drills, crushers, flamethrowers, dissectors etc.
As we have an unenclosed arena we cannot run spinners.
However, even with no spinning weapons there are to be no hands in the arena or pits during any of the fights. This includes rumbles and side events.
There is also no size limit; go wild!

Format:
Number of robots capped at 30, with 2 robots per person.
Fight night format with 3 fights guaranteed per robot.
Top 8 go through to a single elimination bracket.
Arena:
The arena is an unenclosed hexagonal arena 1.2m across with four dropouts; two of them have a 5mm lip to stop accidental drive-outs.
Side event:
The side event this time will be pong!
The goal is to get the ball out of the arena in the opponent's half, and you cannot cross the middle of the arena.
